Dark chocolate salted toffee… now this is a flavor that I consider an adult flavor. Not because there is something in it that children shouldn’t have. It’s just one of those things that you want to treat yourself to a little piece at a time. I keep mine hidden behind the frozen vegetables in the freezer. At night when the kids are sleeping and my favorite TV show is on I make a hot cup of tea and I break out two or three pieces of dark chocolate salted toffee fudge. I use Hershey’s special dark cocoa. I mean even saying the word special makes me feel like it’s just a special treat for myself after a long hard day. This fudge has a smooth creamy texture that your tongue does not want to lose. The special dark flavor lingers and not to mention the little bits of buttery toffee pieces scattered across the top. The combination of dark chocolate fudge with buttery Heath toffee pieces I don’t know there’s just something about it. I can remember one night while I was deep into the TV show that was on and my granddaughter got out of bed and walked into the living room I grabbed my notepad that was sitting next to me in slowly covered my one piece of fudge that I had left. I was so afraid she would see it and want to take it. Please don’t think I’m selfish she has her own special treats. I’m sure you can relate. You just watch when your fudge arrives at your door make sure you are home to get it so you can run to the fridge tuck it in the back behind something that nobody wants that way you know there’s no chance of it being detected. Trust me you’ll thank me for that tip later. ENJOY!
