Dark chocolate creme de menthe fudge. This is just one of those fudge flavors you can’t turn down no matter how much you want to. If you are a fan of Andy’s mints (those are those tiny little rectangle chocolates in the shiny green foil wrapper that they give you at the nice restaurants after you pay for your meal). My grandma always had these mints but we had to be extra good to get one. Anyways…. you will absolutely love this fudge because I take my dark chocolate fudge that I make with Hershey’s special dark cocoa and while it’s still hot right after I pour it in the pan I scatter crumbled up Andes Mints on top and wait for them to melt just perfectly. After they melt I take my two Shish Kabob skewers ( that’s what I have found to be the perfect swirling tool so I make sure I’m always fully stocked up with them) and then I swirl them around pulling the melted Andes chocolates in and out of the dark chocolate fudge making sure that some of the Andes Mints get tucked deep into the chocolate fudge. The special dark chocolate has such an unbelievably smooth texture that pairs perfectly with the subtle hint of mint. I notice when I take a bite and let it melt on my tongue it’s just a few seconds after I swallow it that I get that cool sensation of mint and it’s just the right amount it’s not overpowering.
